Content Coordinator

‍We are a well-established digital marketing agency looking for a smart, highly organised Content Coordinator to build a career in our team. We are looking for someone who shares our values, cares about clients, gets to know the people they work with and is looking to achieve something better every time they go to work.

The Job

At Common Ground, content is at the heart of our clients SEO strategies, and due to increasing demand, we’re looking to expand our team with the introduction of a Content Coordinator.

We have an established, fully documented and successful content creation process and we’re looking for someone to join our team to manage that process. At any given time you will be coordinating multiple freelance content creators, across several months worth content at various stages of creation, across our client list, and so exceptional levels of organisation are required.

On a day-to-day level, this role will include liaising with content creators to brief in work, ensure deadlines are hit and to provide feedback. Additionally, you will also keep the internal team up-to-date through a combination of calls, messages and keeping our management sheets updated. Finally, you will also be responsible for basic editorial aspects and initial checks of the content.

Content review will primarily focus on spelling, punctuation and grammar, although we would provide training to allow you to assess basic SEO considerations before it goes to other members of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management of the content production workflow
  • Manage on-going content plans, from topic ideation and content briefs, to production, publishing, and reporting
  • Reviewing and editing content
  • Liaising with and managing external writers
  • Keep up to date with market and technology-related developments
  • Support the rest of the team where appropriate

The Person

The ideal candidate would have/be…

  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • High levels of written english, particularly around spelling, punctuation & grammar
  • Comfortable communicator, including providing feedback
  • Good level of proficiency with Google Sheets
  • Someone who wants to be social on internal calls
  • Happy to work from home
  • Happy to commute quarterly meetings

Highly desirable, but not essential

  • At least one year of content coordination/management experience in an agency or in-house (with it being the primary job function)
  • An understanding of SEO and how it relates to content marketing
  • Experience of editorial aspects of content creation

Would suit someone that is…

  • Looking to start a career in an agency
  • Bright (this doesn’t mean a degree)
  • Inquisitive
  • Driven/motivated/wants to be best
  • Looking to make an impact
  • Cares about their clients and the business
  • Not someone looking just to pick up a paycheque

The Company

Common Ground was formed by Dan & Matt, both highly experienced and enthusiastic digital marketers and business people. As a company, we are committed to delivering exceptional results for our clients, constantly evolving and improving our approach, and supporting our team to develop and grow.

We have a mix of clients at different stages of their business growth and across different sectors, although we work best with (and have multiple clients in) B2B SaaS and technology. We recruit clients we are excited to work with, who are willing to work closely with us and listen to our advice, and for who we firmly believe we can make a difference to their business. We do not chase every client opportunity presented to us.

Common Ground won’t suit everyone, we are very passionate about what we deliver, how we do it and constant improvement. However, it is the perfect place for people who want to be supported to develop and progress in their careers.
